| Richard Baker was born in Bristol in 1928, the son of B/S Charles Baker and grandson of B/S A. J. Baker He was elected an artist member of the Savages in 1967. He was an officer in the Merchant Navy. His stay with us was short, and therefore little is known of him. He exhibited regularly at the annual exhibition from 1969 –1973, specialising mainly in watercolours. We have no examples of his work in the archives. He left Bristol in 1975 and settled in New Zealand. (R.S.B) |
