Came to Bristol in 1930. Elected a member in 1946. Well remembered by his Brother Savages for his quiet and friendly disposition, his slight Scottish accent and the twinkle in his eyes as he displayed his dry sense of humour. He was a regular attender at all Savage functions and a most popular President in 1956 and 1965. He was a member of the Artist Department at Mardon, Son and Hall for many years and served in World War 2 in the RAMC as a physiotherapist. We have 22 of his evening sketches in our collection. Three of his works grace our walls together with a caricature by Harold Packer. He died at his home in Westbury-on-Trym in 1970 (Cecil Broome)
